Today, our students, in support of the National School Walkout, sat in a moment of silence for 17 minuets in protests against gun violence across the U.S. Although all didn’t completely understand its purpose, they respected the movement for the students who lost their lives during the massacre in Parkland, Fl. one month ago.

Tara Saturday Session was a success!! Students were able to review content for the upcoming US History, ELA I, and ELA II EOC/LEAP 2025. Students were also able to work on E2020 Credit Recovery. Thanks to all who helped!!! Ms. Collins, Mr. Landry, Mr. Craft, Ms. Frazier, Mrs. Coleman, Mrs. Levatino, and Mr. Wells (who grilled for the students)....y’all rock!!!

Congrats to the Tara High School JROTC “Trojan Strong” Drill and Color Guard Teams on bringing home the 2018 Louisiana State Drill and Color Guard Team Championship! Tara HS competed against more than 25 teams and brought back the gold! Go Trojans! 😀

Come out and see the Trojans as they BEAT those BUCS in TrojanLand tomorrow night @ 5!

2012-2013 school year is off to a great start. Freshman Orientation was a huge success today. I want to give a huge shout-out to Ms. Denson and Mrs. Dollar for all that you do for the Star Academy. I hope those students realize what special gems you two are. I also want to give a shout-out to all student groups that performed today and the KOM's. Y'all did a wonderful job!

Wow! The new school year is a week away. It was awesome going on campus and seeing the Dancers, Cheerleaders, Band, Football Team, and Volleyball Team on campus practicing super hard.
