Truth!!!

“Before you hire her, just know what you’re getting yourself into—in the best possible way.

She is going to care about your wedding like it’s her own. She will remember the little details you forgot you told her, notice the crooked centerpiece from 30 feet away, know exactly who is supposed to be where, and somehow have a backup plan for the backup plan.

She is equal parts Southern hostess, project manager, therapist, problem-solver, and professional crisis diffuser.

When the bride is panicking, she’s calm. When the timeline is falling apart, she’s already rearranging it. When somebody says, ‘We have a little problem…’ she’s probably already walking toward it with a solution.

She’s going to tell you what you need to hear—not necessarily what you want to hear. But she’ll do it with enough kindness that you’ll thank her later.

She has an eye for the details: the tables need to look right, the flowers need to be placed just so, the family photos need to happen before Uncle Whoever disappears, and someone better know where the emergency kit is.

And don’t even think about asking, ‘Who’s keeping track of the timeline?’
She is.

She’ll probably be carrying a phone, clipboard, emergency supplies, water, safety pins, a thousand thoughts, and somehow still checking whether the bride has eaten.

Her biggest flaw? She will take ownership. If something goes wrong, even if it absolutely wasn’t her fault, her brain immediately goes to, ‘How do I fix this?’

Her biggest strength? She genuinely wants everyone to feel cared for. She isn’t just coordinating a wedding. She’s protecting the experience of one of the biggest days of someone’s life.

So yes, she’s organized. Yes, she’s particular. Yes, she’s probably going to tell you that your timeline needs adjusting.

But when your wedding day arrives and everything is moving exactly the way it should, you’ll look around and realize: that’s because she was five steps ahead the entire time.

In short: Hire her for the logistics. Keep her for the peace of mind. And trust her when she says, ‘Don’t worry—I’ve got it.’ Because she does.”

Bidding “farewell” and congrats on the new adventure to my friend and colleague Aimee Claire Dazé! Aimee and I met several years ago, and our friendship has continued to grow. As she steps away as a venue coordinator and event rep at the The River Terrace, I’m proud of her next chapter as she grows ladylike. I’m grateful to work alongside amazing planners and coordinators in this industry, as we all work to make each client’s day as stress-free and as smooth as possible.
