Swedish 18th Century Painted Coffer made of solid pine from the 1700s, graced by hand-painted illustrations depicting imaginative red floral stalks & small deer, outlined by a red border in striking contrast to the deep green of the case. One key included for the spring-loaded lock that opens on hand-forged iron hinges to a spacious interior fitted with a large candle box to the left side with narrow shelf along the back.
Comfortable height & convenient but concealed storage complement by whimsical artwork, could double as a console table. Gently cleaned & polished with French paste wax to preserve this cherished antique for future generations!

This wonderful Swedish 19th Century Maple Biedermeier Settee features classic design elements adapted to Scandinavian tastes for lightness & simplicity, using only the finest quality materials & techniques. Wide bench seat wrapped in woven horsehair upholstery of black & brown strands, sheltered by a pierced seat back accented with ebonized fretwork & pediment that contrast the shimmering waves of the grain.

French 19th Century Bamboo & Decoupage Fireplace Screen made circa 1890 of bamboo, recently updated in England in ebonized finish & decoupaged for an horticultural theme. Scientific illustrations of hyacinth, butterflies & dragonflies appear gilded against the dark background which is the perfect complement to the exotic bamboo.
Artful addition to cover your fireplace while not in use during the summer season to add visual interest. Equally functional as a clothing valet or divider as the illustrations are different on each side. Original manufacturer’s tag from Perret & Vibert of Paris, “House of Bamboo”, affixed to the frame.
