Free to the public thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and the support of the Mayor-President. Baton Rouge's Official New Year's Eve celebration! We drop a 9-foot tall, custom designed, LED-lighted Red Stick from the top of the Town Square Beacon at the stroke of midnight. Before the countdown, rock out to the music of Phat Hat at The Crest Stage in City Hall Plaza.. We're going to make some

Baton Rouge, the Red Stick Drops TONIGHT!
Don’t miss the city’s Official New Year’s Eve Celebrationwith Mayor-President Sid Edwards! It's free and open to the public!

Start early with Red Stick Rising, our New Year’s Eve tradition for kids, from 11 AM–12:30 PM at the River Center Library & Town Square—art activities, a noon Red Stick Rise, a sing-along, and special entertainment.

Then come back Downtown tonight for live music:
🎶 8–9:30 PM: Press 1 For English
🎸 10 PM–Midnight: After 8

Dance, sing, and celebrate all night leading up to the Red Stick Drop and fireworks over the Mississippi River!
