STUDY ABROAD SPOTLIGHT ✈️🇮🇪🧳
A message from Maddie Scott, MC ‘23, about her time studying abroad in Ireland!!
“This past semester I had the opportunity to study abroad in Ireland and I had the most incredible time! Traveling to different countries, trying new foods, and experiencing different cultures has been such an eye opening experience. I cannot express how much fun I had and how much I learned about myself while abroad. Being so far away from home pushed me to be more independent and get out of my comfort zone. I am beyond grateful for every single second of this adventure, and I cannot wait to move back into the zouse next semester!”

MEET EXEC W/ georgie OUR VP OF COMMUNICATIONS! 📸✨
“Hiii! I’m Georgie Shere and have the honor of serving as ZTA’s VP of Communications. I’m from Omaha, Nebraska and going into my junior year as Marketing major with a concentration in Digital Marketing and a minor in Leadership Development!
Similar to a lot of girls, I signed up for recruitment not knowing what to expect, but I’m lucky enough to say I realized ZTA felt like home after Philanthropy round. This chapter has given me more than I can imagine- from the sweetest Zeta family to best friends I didn’t know I needed, and roommates I couldn’t live without- I have felt loved and supported throughout my time in Delta Kappa.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this role has been giving back to the chapter that has already given me so much. Being a member of Delta Kappa has helped shape me as more than a member, but a woman, friend, and big sister. Living in the house this past year has showed me that I couldn’t imagine calling 4010 anything other than home 💗💗”

MEET OUR VP OF FINANCE! 💵✨
“Hi everyone! My name is Cate, and I am from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I love to be outside, go for walks, camping, trying new crafts, down for new adventures, and I love napping :)! When coming to LSU, it was a huge leap of faith. I was terrified because I knew no one here, and I was so far from home.
Attempting to set myself up in the best way I knew how, I rushed. Rush was a whirlwind and such a crazy experience for me, I didn’t know that I was where I belonged until I met my big, . Cloe (our previous VP of Programming) inspired me to continue to be the best version of myself, and for me, that meant serving my chapter in the best way I knew how.
I am pursuing a dual degree in Marketing and Accounting, so VP of Finance seemed just right for me. I am unbelievably excited to serve as this year’s VP of Finance and help my chapter succeed! Zeta has given me a home away from home, and I’m so grateful for all that it has given me!”

WHY ZETA WEDNESDAY W/ 🩵🫧
“Finishing my sophomore year I can say that rushing. was truly one of the best decisions I’ve made. Going into it, I was so nervous, but looking back now, I can confidently say I found my home.
Zeta has given me a sisterhood that is so genuine and supportive, and the girls I’ve met here have become some of the most important people in my life.
Beyond the friendships, Zeta has helped shape me into a more confident and well-rounded version of myself. It has provided me with a strong foundation to succeed as a student at LSU, constantly encouraging me to grow both academically and socially. Academics is a priority and Zeta has ensured that being a student is a priority. Being an active member while also staying involved in other organizations has always been supported, and through leadership opportunities and involvement, I’ve grown so much over the past two years.
The friendships I’ve made in Zeta are incredibly meaningful, and what’s even more special is how that sense of connection extends beyond just our chapter. Through Panhellenic, I’ve built friendships with girls all across the row, creating a community that has made my college experience so much more fulfilling.
I am so incredibly grateful for everything Zeta has given me and for the person it has helped me become. I hope all the PNMs find their home, like I did.🩵”
