These two had their annual vet appointment this week, and that means checking that their paperwork in their go-bag is up-to-date.
Follow these 5 easy steps to be ready for summer travel or an emergency.
1. Ask your vet for a copy of your pets vaccination records.
2. Download and complete a pet profile for each pet (you can find this under the pet owner section of our website)
3. Have a good photo of your pet
4. Put into a ziplock bag and have in their go-bag (you can find a complete go-bag check list/bag tag on our website)
5. Throw out outdated papers/records (I had a lot of outdated rabies tags and vaccine records I had neglected to throw out)

We were at Iberville Parish Library Hot Diggity Dog event teaching about who animal control is, what they do, bite prevention, and training with the Louisiana Capital City Obedience Club. Finn, a therapy and AKC ambassador dog, also demonstrated scent work, and one of his friends from Bayou Buddies Pet Therapy was there to help.
One of our volunteers son had collected donations for his lenten project and was able to donate them at the event to the Iberville Parish Shelter and Animal Control ! How cool is that.
Thank you for inviting us out!
