Let's get to know a little bit more about one of our two upcoming presenters Tamaria Williams!

Tamaria Williams is the Digital Content Manager at Visit Baton Rouge, where she’s been part of the team since 2021. In her role, she manages all social media channels, oversees the organization’s website, and serves as the in-house photographer—helping shape the way Baton Rouge is seen and experienced online. She’s a graduate of Louisiana Tech University (go dawgs!) and a 2023 alumna of the Barton Leadership Program.

Tamaria is a member of Forum 225, the Public Relations Association of Louisiana, one of 225 Magazine’s Twenty in their 20s, and eTourism Summit’s Emerging Tourism Stars. When she’s not creating content for VBR, she enjoys catching up on Ginny & Georgia on Netflix or randomly signing up for her next 5K.

Let's get to know a little bit more about one of our two upcoming presenters Laura Cating!

A native of Louisiana’s capital city, Laura is the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Visit Baton Rouge. She provides leadership for the destination marketing organization’s branding, advertising, community partnerships, social media and public relations. Laura joined the VBR staff in 2023 after a decade at the Louisiana Travel Association, working with members from around the state to strengthen the tourism industry and enhance the image of Louisiana as a travel destination.

Rejoining the VBR staff has been a full circle career transition for Laura, as she worked for the destination marketing organization 18 years ago. Earlier in her career, she also spent time in Houston working in corporate communications for CenterPoint Energy, focusing on the company’s environmental programs and community relations activities.

Outside of the office, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. She serves in her local church, in Leadership Baton Rouge’s 2025 cohort and as a member of the Parent Advisory Council for Basis Baton Rouge Materra.
