We are seeking a part time clerical Resource for a document scanner position with Advanced Imaging Solutions; Baton Rouge location. Candidate must have quality keyboard typing and spelling skills. Above average computer skills a must, however training on our software will be provided. We scan documents, and the candidate must be physically capable of lifting a paper file box and moving it from another storage office into the work space. Candidate can work as few as 20 hours per week or as many as 30; within the hours of 7:30 AM- 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. We offer flexible schedules whenever needed as long as the minimum agreed upon hours are met weekly. This position is excellent for those returning to the workforce after a lapse or those retired or retiring that wish to have some additional income.

The first Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans occurred in the late 1850’s, but It took 4 decades before the first all–female Mardi Gras krewe was formed. A lot of tourists, and even locals, don’t realize that women started their own Carnival krewes before the turn of the 20th century, before women had the right to vote. The group, Les Mystᶦerieuses disbanded after organizing only two balls, but it claimed a place in Carnival for women. However, even until now there have still only ever been less than 20 female krewes in New Orleans Mardi Gras history.

Well, here we go again- ICE and maybe snow. To use a word I am using a lot lately-I will pivot my projects to now address purging our documents that have come to the end of their life cycle.

I wear a lot of hats as owner of Advanced Imaging Solutions. Since 1998 I’ve described my position as “chief bottle washer, and hand holder”. Seriously, my main job is customer relations, but you have to roll with the punches when oiling the machine.

I’m happy that our documents are digitized, and so I can sit home in my pj’s to access the records that need to be purged.
