The East Baton Rouge Parish Library is proud to partner with the 19th Judicial District Court for the Access to Justice Initiative.

The goal of the initiative is to increase access to judicial services for the Baton Rouge area community by providing more remote access to court filings via the online Clerk Connect filing portal, beginning with making it possible for victims of domestic abuse, dating violence, stalking, and sexual assault to e-file a petition for protection from abuse using Clerk Connect.

Our staff has received training on how to assist patrons with the Petition for Protection from Abuse, which allows individuals to petition the Court for a Protection Order - a court order that requires one person to stay away from another person or persons.
