LSU electrical engineer Dr. Theda Daniels-Race dispels the myths of nanotechnology and shares how her lab investigates nanoscale phenomena in electronic materials. Her fundamental research can help with the development of next-generation electronic devices, sensors, and optical displays. She is joined by Dr. Paul Race, a law and medicine expert, who will present some of the legal and ethical challenges in developing nanotechnology.

About the Speakers
Dr. Theda Daniels-Race is the Michel B. Voorhies Distinguished Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering with a joint appointment to the LSU Center for Computation & Technology. Her expertise is in the area of nanoelectronics, particularly with respect to nanomaterials and quantum electronic phenomena.
Dr. Paul A. Race has degrees in both law and medicine. He is an Associate Professor of Law with the Southern University Law Center. His expertise is in health law and constitutional law, both of which are challenged to respond to rapidly emerging new technologies.

Due to a request from a student organization in the Southern University EE Department, the Baton Rouge NSBE Professional chapter will be giving a presentation on electrical one-line and schematic drawings.
This interactive presentation will provide the attendees with the basics of reading and interpreting the two types of electrical drawings. This includes drawing layout, typical symbols, and typical system construction.
The presenter will be Mr. Bron Noel, a Southern University graduate and practicing electrical engineer with over 15 years of experience. The presentation will be held at 6pm on Thursday, November 29th in the iStar Center in the Pinchback Bldg on Southern University campus.
After the presentation, Boiled food will be available at TOPS Ultralounge on Airline for the Saints and Cowboys game...
