Every day, we have the privilege of watching people take steps toward a brighter future.

Through The Way to Work, participants gain the skills, confidence, support, and opportunities they need to move toward stable employment and greater self-sufficiency. Those successes are possible because of the broader mission of HOPE Ministries and the incredible community that stands behind it.

Inside our Learning Center, participants in The Way to Work gain tools, support, and encouragement as they work toward greater stability and self-sufficiency.

Prevent homelessness. Promote self-sufficiency and dignity.

Summer break should not mean uncertainty around meals.

As families adjust routines while school is out, access to free summer meals can help reduce stress and support household stability.

The EBR Child Nutrition Program is offering FREE meals for children and teens ages 18 and under at locations across East Baton Rouge Parish this summer.

Please help us spread the word to families who may benefit.

This Memorial Day, The Way to Work honors the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Nicci brings more than 10 years of experience helping nonprofit and healthcare organizations improve systems, strengthen operations, and support long-term growth and success.

Her passion for people-first leadership and helping others help themselves makes her a wonderful addition to our mission of empowering individuals and families toward greater stability and self-sufficiency.

Looking back on our April graduation and celebrating a group that showed determination, growth, and resilience every step of the way. 🎓

At The Way to Work, graduation is more than completing a class - it’s a step toward stability, confidence, and new opportunities. We’re so proud of each graduate and excited for what’s ahead for them.

At The Way to Work, we believe that confidence and opportunity can change everything. 💙

When Ms. LeBlanc came to our program, she was unemployed and discouraged despite having a strong work history and previous training. Through her dedication, consistent attendance, and commitment to developing essential workplace and soft skills, she began rebuilding her confidence and sense of purpose.

After completing the program, she secured a position with Securitas as a security guard. Although that opportunity ultimately did not move forward after onboarding, Ms. LeBlanc refused to give up. She continued her job search, attended local job fairs, and stayed determined.

Today, we’re proud to share that she has secured employment with Amazon as a robotic operator in their warehouse operations. She completed onboarding on April 30 and has officially begun her new career journey.

Stories like Ms. LeBlanc’s remind us that perseverance, support, and opportunity can open new doors. We are so proud of her and excited to continue cheering her on every step of the way! 🎉

Another incredible class crossed the stage in March, and we’re still celebrating them. 🎓

Many of the women in The Way to Work program are balancing work, parenting, transportation challenges, financial pressure, and countless responsibilities while still pushing forward every day.

This Mother’s Day, we honor the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of mothers working toward stability and opportunity for their families.
