Update:

Since Steve is expected to make a full recovery, murder charges for Theo have been dropped from murder to - 1 count of attempted murder
- 1 count of assault and battery

Theo was released on bond but is to remain under house arrest in his box until more evidence can be collected.

We are still hoping Steve is going to make it. But it’s touch and go.

Suspect Arrested for Assault

Theo, 8 year old DSH Black/White Tuxedo Feline, was arrested today by OHVH staff for his involvement in the attack against Steve the Spider Plant which took place on Sunday 8/3/25.

Theo attempted to flee but was too hyped up on catnip to put up much of a fight. He was apprehended in the waiting room after a lengthy chase, no one was injured in the capture.

Theo was booked in OHVH kennel with the charge of bodily harm.

Sentencing date has not yet been set.

Old Hammond Veterinary Hospital are searching for “Theo” in connection with the assault on Steve. He’s been known to go by the name Beignet. If seen please contact OHVH. Do not try to approach. He is considered armed and dangerous with his Murder Mittens.

A suspect has been seen on cctv. Be on the look out for a black and white feline. He was spotted in the area during the time the assault on Steve was committed.
