Congratulations on your new DSLD Home, Mr. Lee! 🏡

The next few nights and days bring the first artic blast temperatures to the area. Weather conditions will only deteriorate as the day progresses. A temperature below freezing for 4 hours or more requires winter precautions to be taken:
• This evening, turn the water on to a trickle in your bathroom sinks. (Do not run the kitchen sink as it does not have an overflow).
• If you have a gas, tankless water heater, drip cold water in one bathroom and hot water in the other. The goal in dripping the hot side of the tankless water heater is to get some flow through the heater, but not enough flow to turn it on. The hot side trickle may trigger the water heater thermostat to read error code PI, meaning low flow - this is ok. The Freeze Warning Video Below demonstrates how to do this.
• If you have an electric water heater, drip cold water only in each bathroom. Keep in mind an electric water heater element burns up when it has power and no water in the tank.
• Make sure your heater is set to at least 67 degrees.
