The Little Dragon of Unease and The Prince of the Bayou both sold at La Divina!
There’s something especially lovely about sending these strange little creatures out into the world to begin lives of their own. Thank you to the collectors who gave them homes, and to La Divina for giving the Unbelongings a place to be seen. ✨

This has apparently been my week for reviews. 😂
First, I learned that because I wasn’t born in New Orleans, the fiction I’ve written about the city I’ve lived in for nearly forty years is apparently stupid.
Now I’ve learned that my narrative voice in an audio drama sounds like I’m “over acting.”
Friends, I regret to inform you that there is both fiction in my fiction and acting in my audio drama.
Standards are slipping everywhere.

We have reviewed the latest criticism carefully and will, unfortunately, be continuing to act.

🎙️ VOICES FROM THE KREWE: MICHAEL RUFFIN 🎙️
Please join us in welcoming Michael Ruffin, the new voice of Renard Blackwood in *Tongue of the Serpent*.
A creator and performer at heart, Michael has explored storytelling in many forms, from studying theatre and game design to writing and performing slam poetry. He has appeared in low-budget zombie movies, worked as an educator presenting on ADHD and Autism, and now runs Dueling Minds, a nonprofit organization serving ADHD and Autistic adults.
Michael also uses his storytelling skills in the world of TTRPGs, where he hosts livestreams, performs in actual-play casts, and creates opportunities for neurodivergent people to connect. Acting, writing, and creativity are woven through everything he does, not only as he pursues his own dreams, but also in his work as an advocate.
In Michael’s words:
“It has been an honor to be part of *Tongue of the Serpent*. I truly love playing Renard and bringing him to life. His story and character have depth that I enjoy as a consumer of media, and I cherish the opportunity to portray such a character. I hope I do him justice and that you all enjoy his character as much as I do.”
