We don’t always share our guest stories, but this one was one for the books. Nic, you are a sassy legend and we adore you.

If you’ve never been to a Butterr show, here’s how it works: toward the end of our performance, we invite a special guest to share a short story from their life. Then we take inspiration from that story and use it to fuel the final improv set of the night.

Every guest brings something different to the stage. Whether it’s heartfelt, hilarious, chaotic, or completely unexpected, and we’re grateful for every single one of them. Their stories create some of our favorite moments, and this one was no exception. 💛🧈

Butterr is holding auditions to add new members to the troupe on June 9 at 7PM inside the Hartley/Vey at the Manship Theatre, and we’re looking for our next dysfunctional little family member.

We’re a Baton Rouge–based long-form improv team performing monthly at the Manship Theatre and occasionally taking our unscripted adventures on the road to Lafayette and New Orleans. Our shows are rooted in real conversation, big swings, and hilarity.

We’re looking for performers who:
· Are 18 years or older
· Are available to practice on Monday evenings (practice attendance is expected for shows)
We value strong choices, generosity on stage, and performers who make their scene partners look good.

Audition Details:
Please arrive a few minutes early to fill out a quick audition form before we begin. Plan to stay for approximately 90 minutes of improv. Dress in clothes and shoes that are comfortable and easy to move in — we’ll be on our feet and ready to play.

We may add more than one performer. Selected performers will be contacted within 2 days of auditions.

If you love collaborative storytelling, building worlds from one suggestion, and being part of a committed, supportive team, we’d love to see you.
