Monster Walks might look simpleβ¦ until your glutes start screaming π₯
This exercise is one of our favorites for building hip strength, improving knee stability, and helping your body move better during everyday activities and workouts.
Want to make them harder?
β¬οΈ Use a stronger band
β¬οΈ Stay lower in your squat
β¬οΈ Slow the movement down
Need to scale them back?
β¬οΈ Use a lighter band
β¬οΈ Take smaller steps
β¬οΈ Stay taller while moving
The goal is controlled movement and keeping tension on the band the entire time πͺ

That massage gun is not only for post-workout soreness π
We often use percussion therapy before or after sessions to help loosen tight muscles, improve blood flow, decrease sensitivity, and get the body moving a little more comfortably.
Sometimes it helps prep the body for movement. Sometimes it helps calm things down afterward. Either wayβ¦ your muscles usually thank us later πͺ

You thought you were βjust doing yard work.β
Your back thought you signed up for a full body workout. π±π
Every spring we see an increase in:

Helping people feel stronger, more confident, and excited about their progress is what drives us every single day πͺ
We are grateful for every patient who trusts us to be part of their recovery journey and proud of the work they put in along the way.
PT is not only for post surgery recovery anymore π
Aches. Pains. Tight shoulders. Annoying back pain that will not quit. Physical therapists are trained to assess and treat musculoskeletal issues before they become bigger problems.
A lot of people still think PT means painful stretching after surgery. In reality, we are often the first stop for helping people move better, feel stronger, and get back to life faster πͺ
Sometimes the smartest move is seeing a PT first.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. πΊπΈ
Grateful today and every day for their sacrifice.
The big comeback usually starts with one small step πͺ
After surgery, recovery is not about one perfect workout or one huge breakthrough. It is repetition. Consistency. Showing up and teaching the body how to move confidently again one rep at a time.
That is why PTs focus so much on repeating movements. Every step over that block is rebuilding strength, balance, trust, and function for real life outside the clinic.
Consistency creates movement. Movement creates progress π₯

Big news π₯ Paige is officially certified in dry needling!
That means even more ways to help relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and get you moving better, faster πͺ
Ready to feel that βwaitβ¦ my shoulder actually moves now?β kind of relief?
You can schedule dry needling sessions with Paige in both our Baton Rouge and Hammond clinics.
βHow sore were you after last session?β is not small talk π
That answer tells us a lot. Your sleep, hydration, stress, nutrition, and recovery habits all play a role in how your body responds to movement and exercise.
Physical therapy is not only about what happens in the clinic. It is about understanding your whole body and adjusting your plan, so you keep progressing safely and effectively πͺ
