Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a true advocate for justice, equality, and nonviolence. His dream inspires us to continue the fight for safe, thriving communities where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

At Communities Against Drugs and Violence, we are committed to carrying forward Dr. King’s vision by empowering our neighborhoods and standing united against violence and addiction. Together, we can create a brighter, more peaceful future for all.

Diellon Daniels is his name. He was just seven years old when my life was tragically cut short on November 27, 2024.

As a community, we cannot ignore this devastating loss. We must come together to confront the violence plaguing our neighborhoods, to protect our children, and to ensure no family experiences this unimaginable pain again.

To the family of Diellon Daniels: Communities Against Drugs and Violence stands with you in this time of heartbreak and grief. We will continue to fight for safer streets, stronger communities, and brighter futures for all of our children.

📢 Say his name. Know his story. Demand change. Let’s fight to love not to kill!
