Lt. Christ proudly served in the United States Air Force as a B-29 bomber pilot in Korea. He did extensive research into submarine activity that occurred in the Gulf of Mexico during World War II, as well as being the founder of the Regional Military Museum in Houma, LA.

9:30 AM: Stage to set flags and assist the National Cemetery as requested.
11:00 AM: Ceremony begins (A PGR member will be emcee (Dortha Cummins), doing the opening prayer (Sam Caruso), PGR members will be presenting wreaths as requested, and a PGR member will be performing TAPS (Rocky Bush). The PGR will assist as requested.
12:00 PM: Approximate time for the ceremony to end. Secure flags and mission.
NOTE: The weather forecast is calling for a high temperature of 82 degrees with a 80% chance of rain at this time.

About the Mission:
The Garden of Flags Ceremony recognizes all military members from Louisiana who have paid the ultimate price protecting our freedoms. Over 11,000 flags will arrive with the Ruck March to be planted in honor of Louisiana Veterans who have paid that price.

7:00 AM: Stage to set our flags and mission briefing. Help Blue Star Moms as needed.
8:30 AM: Approximate time for the Ruck March to arrive with the flags.
9:00 AM: Scheduled time for the ceremony to start. the PGR will be helping the Blue Star Moms with planting flags as the names of the veteran of the Gold Star Families in attendance are read.
10:00 AM: Approximate time for the ceremony to conclude and for volunteers to start planting flags.
12:00 PM: Approximate time for us to pick up our flags and secure the mission after all flags are planted.
NOTE: The weather is calling for a high temperature of 83 degrees with a 70% chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms at this time. Cages are highly recommended.
