We are asking our community to support East Baton Rouge EMS as a proposed pay raise comes up for a vote on 4/22/26.

EBREMS has faced staffing shortages for years. Supporting competitive pay is one of the most important steps toward retaining experienced personnel and attracting new EMS providers to serve our community.

BRPD is also looking at a pay raise for the same reasons as EMS. Neither agency has received a pay raise for years and cannot remain competitive without this.

Please take one minute to submit a public comment showing your support. In the “Description of item,” enter EMS/BRPD Pay Raise and leave a short comment, referencing EMS agenda item numbers 26-00508 and 26-00509, showing your support.
