There’s a reason Federales Fest feels a little different out here. 🌳🐎

Live Oak at isn’t just our venue. It’s a piece of Baton Rouge history.

The Cedar Lodge property has been in the Witter family for four generations, and in 1972, Live Oak Arabians began building a legacy of its own, breeding and showing horses that would earn recognition across the country and beyond.

Today, hundreds of acres, towering live oaks and generations of horses remain tucked right in the middle of Baton Rouge. And once a year, we get to add a little live music to the story. 🎶

The horses in the pasture. The old oaks overhead. The stage going up in the middle of it all.

It’s a big part of what makes Federales Fest feel like Federales Fest. ❤️

Straight out of Opelika, Alabama, B.B. Palmer has built a sound that refuses to stay inside the lines. Rooted in American country music with influences that stretch from Waylon Jennings to Wu-Tang Clan, B.B. Palmer calls it Kung Fu Country Music. We call it one helluva fit for Federales Fest. 🤠🔥

His latest chapter, “Alabama Samurai,” brings that whole world together with a sound he’s dubbed “WuTwang.” Country storytelling, cosmic experimentation and a little kung fu all find their way into the mix.
