Surprisingly the CCV report found that a garage door replacement was a top performing project which recoups 194% of the cost. The second and third ranked remodeling project were steel entry door replacement and installation of manufactured stone veneer. Credit Bureaus, Make Weekly Credit Reports Free Through 2023
The three major credit bureaus—Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion—agreed to extend weekly, free credit reports through 2023, according to a joint announcement today from the companies. The step comes a week after Consumer Reports urged the credit bureaus to extend that benefit indefinitely. You can get reports from all three credit bureaus at www.annualcreditreport.com.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires that people be given free access to their credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus just once a year. But once the pandemic began, companies offered the annual service for free on a weekly basis instead.

The proposed H.R. 5376 Build Back Better Act in Congress will prohibit us from using our Self-Directed IRA to invest in Real Estate and alternative assets.
I mailed my letter to my Representative and Senators to vote Nay if Section 138312 and 138314 are not removed from the H.R. 5376 Build Back Better Act. These two sections in the bill will not build back the USA better.
Section 138312 will effectively ban crowdfunding offerings and hurt small businesses and innovating start-ups that raise money from accredited investors’ self-directed IRAs.
Section 138314 will be most destructive to investors who lend money to real estate investors to fix and flip single family homes or to buy rental properties within their Self-Directed IRA. This bill will stop Self-Directed IRAs to lend money to real estate investors who are ordinary Americans who buy and improve (remodel) single-family properties. These real estate investors are self-employed, working to provide for their family, who are buying and fixing up single family homes to sell to first time home buyers. After these ruined down properties are fixed up. The neighborhood will improve and the equity in the homes will increase for owners in the area.
So take action – write your Representative and Senators in Washington DC and tell them to vote Nay to protect your money in your IRAs.
