The Magnolia Mindset for June is out! See the link below!
Summer can be a season of growth, connection, and enjoyment, but it can also bring disrupted routines, social pressure, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. If you find yourself struggling during these months, remember that your experience is more common than you may think.

By recognizing unhelpful thought patterns, creating flexible routines, limiting comparisons, and practicing CBT skills, you can navigate summer with greater self-awareness and emotional resilience.

At Magnolia Therapy Group, we believe mental health deserves attention in every season. If anxiety, stress, depression, or life transitions are making it difficult to enjoy your summer, professional support can help you develop the tools needed to move forward with confidence and balance.

Healing doesn't have a season, and you don't have to navigate these challenges alone. 🌻

Mental Health Awareness Month is coming to a close; we want to gently remind everyone that caring for your mental health doesn’t have to be complicated. Small pauses throughout the day can help bring your mind and body back into alignment. 💚
Here are a few simple CBT techniques you can practice anytime you need a moment to reset. This helps bring you back to the present moment.

🌬️ TIP Skill – Temperature & Breathing
Take a few slow breaths and place cool water on your hands or face. Slowing the body down can help calm overwhelming emotions.

✨ CBT Techniques🧠 Check the Thought - Ask yourself:
“Is this thought a fact, or is it fear, stress, or self-criticism talking?”
Sometimes our minds need compassion, not criticism.

📝 Pause & Reframe
Replace: “I have to do everything perfectly.”
With: “I can do my best one step at a time.”
Small shifts in thinking can create meaningful emotional change.

Today, take a moment to plant your feet firmly on the ground, unclench your jaw, relax your shoulders, and give yourself permission to breathe. You deserve care too. 🌸

Mental Health Awareness Month is here, and at Magnolia, we strive to break the stigma around mental health!

Healing isn’t just about what people can see on the outside. 💚

Just like we care for our physical health, our mental and emotional well-being deserves attention, support, and compassion too. Anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, grief, and stress are not signs of weakness — they are human experiences, and no one should feel ashamed for needing help.

At Magnolia Therapy Group, we believe seeking therapy is a sign of strength, courage, and self-respect. Breaking the stigma starts with honest conversations, compassion, and reminding people that healing is not something you have to do alone.

You deserve to heal physically, emotionally, and mentally. 🌿

As April comes to a close, take a moment to check in with yourself.

What felt heavy this month?
What felt meaningful?
What are you ready to carry forward and what are you ready to let go of?

Growth doesn’t always look like big changes. Sometimes it looks like showing up on the hard days, setting a boundary, or simply getting through.

As we move into a new month, give yourself permission to reset without pressure to be perfect.

You don’t have to do it all. You just have to keep going.

If you need support, we’re here. 🤍

Building a More Inclusive World, One Conversation at a Time.

In honor of Autism Awareness Month, Magnolia Therapy Group invites you to reflect on the beauty of the neurodiverse experience.

Autism is often invisible, yet its impact on how an individual processes the world is profound. From sensory sensitivities to unique social navigation, every journey is distinct. We believe that true support starts with understanding, not just observation.

We remain dedicated to being a sanctuary for our clients, a place where your "true self" is the priority. "A little understanding and compassion can make a meaningful difference."

Join us this month in practicing intentional inclusion. đź’™

The March Magnolia Mindset Blog is live!
You’re not lazy… you’re exhausted in ways people can’t see.
Even when it looks like you’re “doing nothing,” your mind may be:
replaying, overthinking, worrying, and holding onto more than it should.
Anxiety, depression, burnout, and past experiences can keep your system running in the background, it is draining your energy without you realizing it.
This is your reminder:
You’re not doing nothing. You’re carrying a lot.
👉 Read the full blog attached in the comments to understand why and what actually helps. Reach out if you would like an appointment with our trained therapist.

It's that time again! But, spring cleaning isn’t just for closets.

Sometimes it’s for the things we’ve been carrying around in our heads too.

The overthinking.
The pressure to have everything figured out.
The feeling that you always have to keep pushing through.

Over time, those things can quietly pile up, just like the clutter we don’t notice until we finally stop and look around.

Spring is a great time to pause for a moment and check in with yourself. What’s been taking up space in your mind lately? What might feel lighter if you didn’t have to carry it by yourself?

You don’t have to sort through everything alone. Sometimes the most important kind of reset starts with a conversation. 🌱

Did you know executive functioning skills are still developing throughout childhood and adolescence? In fact, full maturation of these skills doesn't happen until age 25-30.

Executive functioning includes skills like planning, organization, emotional regulation, impulse control, working memory, and task initiation — the very skills we often expect children to “just have” as they get older.

As expectations increase, supports are often removed. But development doesn’t work that way.

This quick cheat sheet highlights practical scaffolds parents and educators can use to give children the structure they need to meet our expectations — without lowering the bar or shaming the struggle.

Save or share with anyone supporting growing brains. đź’›
