This picture captures a genuine moment of connection, you can clearly see how extremely proud my team is of what we’ve accomplished together.
I am grateful for this incredible orthopaedic team whose dedication, skill, and compassion helped us earn the title of 2026 Best Doctor of Baton Rouge.
Every success is sweeter when shared with people who make the work worth doing (and celebrating our achievements is the icing on the cake)
Here’s to teamwork, and the patients who inspire us every day!

I'm honored to be named BEST DOCTOR in the 21st annual Best of 225 Awards — that's #1 in our city!
This magazine highlights Baton Rouge’s top people, places, and professionals. Being recognized as the best doctor is an incredible privilege and I’m appreciative of my ability to serve our community.
Thank you to every patient, colleague, and community member who puts their trust in my team and me.
We're proud of this recognition, but we're not letting up now.
Excellence in orthopaedic care is the standard... and we're just getting started!

Small wins lead to big outcomes — and today’s win is a strong, steady single‑leg calf raise... At only 13 weeks post-Achilles repair!
This patient has been putting in the work, and it shows. Under the guidance of Physical Therapist Jack Higdon, we’re seeing improved calf strength, ankle stability, and overall control — all key milestones on the road back to full function.
This patient has specifically also gone to the gym six days a week, putting in his calf work!
This kind of strength and control this early isn’t the norm—it’s the result of consistency, patience, and following my rehabilitation protocol.
Compared to the average recovery timeline, this patient is ahead of the curve—but every journey is different. Stay the course, trust the process, and respect the timeline.
Every rep matters. Every step forward counts. We are all so proud of the effort and consistency on display here!

As an orthopedic surgeon, I spend most days helping others get back to the activities they love… so this year I made sure I committed to one of my own. I completed an Ironman on November 1st, and tomorrow I’ll be lifting only a fork! 😅🦃
Grateful for health, perseverance, and all the people who help make big goals possible!

When your surgical scar heals too well... 🤷♀️ One of my patients came in yesterday with this creative tattoo next to his incision. He wanted a more dramatic surgical scar— so he added some extra stitches for dramatic effect! 😃
I love seeing the personality and humor my patients bring into the healing process. Medicine meets art!
