Summer meals remain widely available in Louisiana during the last week of June! This week's SUN Meal of the week comes to us from EBRP Child Nutrition Program EBR Schools. Kudos to the summer foodservice staff at Istrouma Magnet High School for preparing great trays for kids. Fresh from the deli, this week tray's includes a ham sandwich with cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato slices, baby carrots and animal crackers. Cold milk and a summer slushy really hit the spot on a hot day! Every Louisiana child aged 18 and under can enjoy SUN Meals. To help keep our families fueled during the Juneteenth holiday, we’ll be offering a special 6-Day Multi-Day Meal Box on Monday, June 15, 2026!

In observance of Juneteenth Day, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System will be closed on Thursday, June 18, 2026. To ensure children continue to have access to nutritious meals, Monday’s meal box will include breakfast and lunch for:
