SULC Pro Bono Project

Tomorrow things are getting spicy! Join us for Tabasco Thursday. The heat is on this Thursday, October 24th! We are spicing things up with our student led panel discussion. Join us in rooms 129 and 130 as we discuss 🤫Taboo Topics: The Conversations You’re Not Supposed to Have at SULC 🤫 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

In honor of Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence month we are encouraging students, faculty, and staff to wear pink and purple to honor those that previously and currently battle with Breast Cancer and/or Domestic Violence. On Wednesday, October 23rd there will be tables in the Atrium to provide those that are interested with more information about both topics. Join us on the patio at 12:00 pm for a balloon release for both causes. You can then join us for 's Domestic Violence Panel Discussion in room 130.

Throw me something mister! Are you looking for ways to secure the bag, gain hands on experience in the legal profession, or simply broaden your legal education? Then join us for Fat Tuesday, TODAY, in the Atrium for our annual Externship Fair. There will be various employers and organizations present on TODAY, October 22nd, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Remember, sécuriser le sac!

Please remember that we will be collecting canned goods in the Atrium throughout the week.

Saintsational Sunday

TOMORROW kicks off our week with words of encouragement and positivity! Join us for worship at Pastor R. C. White’s church on Sunday, October 20th at 10:00 am as we have a saintsational and glorious time. SEE YOU THERE!

Don’t forget to please bring canned goods on Monday October 21st! These donations will go to the Zachary Food Bank to be distributed for Thanksgiving! Donations will be accepted at the Pro Bono table on located in the atrium on Monday!

Trying to figure out what to do after graduation, but before the Bar Exam? Do you need advice on how to prepare for the Bar or what to do while awaiting your results? Do you have general questions regarding Bar Prep, life after graduation, and what to do while job hunting? Join the Student Bar Association and The Pro Bono Project on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. in room 129 for the While You Wait panel discussion! The panel will be led SULC alums that are willing to come and share their knowledge and advice on what they did to prepare for the Bar and life post-graduation. This discussion is open to all class levels. SBA will livestream on their Instagram

Today at 3:30 pm the Pro Bono Project is having a community outreach event at the Scotlandville Community Garden located at the corner of Pembroke Street and Goudchaux Street. We will be serving food and handing out goodie bags to the Scotlandville residents. Join us for food, music, and games!
