Equipment alone will not save you! You must obtain the skills to use the equipment that may save you or a loved one. Just as training with a firearm is perishable if not practiced and drilled, thus is the training paradigm for trauma medical care. Once obtained, the skill set must be practiced until it is second nature. You may have a very short window to apply a tourniquet during trauma and keep in mind, you may be self treating.
