NEW PANTRY ALERT 🤍 WE ARE IN ASCENSION!

We’re so excited to share that a new Whole Heart Health Free Little Pantry is now open at Kiss and Make Up in Ascension Parish.

This pantry is a little different. Along with grab-and-go items like cereals, macaroni, applesauce, and other easy staples, you’ll also find complete, shelf-stable meal-in-a-bag kits. Each kit includes a recipe card, simple modifications, and tips for how to recreate the meal even in a food desert. Every meal is designed to be balanced, nutrient-dense, and accessible.

Donations are always welcome, and if you need something or know someone who does, please share this resource. We personally restock this pantry weekly and will add additional stock days as needed.

We’re incredibly grateful to Kiss and Make Up for hosting this pantry and allowing us to serve the Ascension Parish community. This is what whole hearted community care looks like, and we’re just getting started 🤍

9 days after this dinner and I can still taste that sweet pomegranate molasses bbq smoked rib (after capturing Tony shedding a tear over it) and the cornbread that was also a show with the maple bourbon glaze drizzle. 🍁🥃

Cecilia Creole Bistro is bringing incredible flavors to downtown Baton Rouge with the best crafted cocktails. This The Eat the Boot Podcast blind dinner was beautifully done and I can't wait to explore the rest of their menu! 📸

Found my new favorite local spot! Spent some time with the incredible guys from and was blown away by their gourmet mini pancakes! 🥞🥞🥞 🍓These two young brothers have built something amazing from the ground up, and their mom deserves a ton of credit for helping them get their start. It’s inspiring to see this kind of passion in our local community. It's up to us to support those small businesses! If you're near Ascension, you need to check them out at Duplessis Park on 621, 5:30-7:30 PM on weekdays. Trust me, you won't regret it.
