I haven’t had much time to paint lately, but I still find myself reaching for a pen whenever I can. This little house sketch was done in a quiet moment between everything else life has going on.

Sometimes art doesn’t have to be a finished painting. Sometimes it’s just slowing down long enough to put something on paper and enjoy the process.

After being sick this week. I am looking for to a quiet evening and some reading. 📕

What are you up to this evening?

I was sketching this for my son tonight and kind of got stuck.

Basil had one of those days…
the kind where nothing really goes right.

The wind takes his umbrella.
The rain doesn’t let up.
And for a minute, he just sits there in it.

And I realized… I don’t know how I want the story to end.

Do I tell him to chase what he lost
or learn how to move forward without it?

Feels like one of those small moments that actually matters.

What would you want your kid to hear?

Okay I was NOT expecting this 😭 my little landscape got an honorable mention and I honestly just entered to push myself. Watercolor has been kicking my butt lately so this felt like a tiny sign to keep going 🌿 grateful for this community fr

There’s something about seeing all this work in print that makes me want to go paint immediately. The colors, the textures, the ideas—it’s like fuel.

I’m not in this one… yet. But I’m studying, learning, and getting better every time I sit down at my desk.

I’ve got two ideas stuck in my head and I can’t shake either of them.

One is a quiet, moody landscape—soft layers, slow and thoughtful.
The other is Basil… a little more personality, a little more story.

Both feel right. Just in completely different ways.
