Together, we can DefEAT Domestic Violence!

06/09/2026

We've seen an increase in domestic violence incidents across our area. Behind every statistic is a person, a family, or a child whose life has been impacted by abuse.

At the Capital Area Family Justice Center, we work every day to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence. We serve individuals and families throughout East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Iberville, Ascension, Pointe Coupee, East Feliciana, West Feliciana, and Livingston Parishes.

Our team can connect survivors with advocacy, safety planning, legal assistance, protective order help, counseling, law enforcement partners, and other resources.

If you or someone you care about is experiencing abuse, please know that you don't have to figure it out on your own. Reaching out can be difficult, but support is available, and we're here to help.

💜 You are not alone.

💙WE NEED YOUR HELP💙

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Every 68 seconds, someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted, and only a fraction of cases are ever reported (RAINN). We are currently accepting donations of essential items to provide comfort, care, and dignity to those impacted by sexual violence.

We are so very thankful and incredibly honored to have been an Attic Trash and Treasure Sale of Baton Rouge, La recipient this year!

This generosity means so much to us and will go directly toward continuing the work we are so passionate about—supporting and empowering survivors of domestic violence as they rebuild their lives.

We want to sincerely acknowledge how hard the Attic Trash & Treasure team worked to make this possible. The time, effort, and dedication it takes to organize and raise these funds for local nonprofits is inspiring—and we are beyond grateful to be one of the organizations chosen.

Thank you for believing in our mission, for supporting our work, and for standing with the individuals and families in our community impacted by domestic violence. We appreciate you more than words can express!
