We are thrilled to invite our community to a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony celebrating our partnership with Miles for Smiles Mobile Dental Care! Together, we are going the extra mile to bring healthy smiles, better attendance, and academic success straight to our students. 🦷✨

🗓️ When: Thursday, September 24, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
📍 Where: Brownfields Elementary School (11151 Ellen Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70811)

Through this school-based dental care service, we are focusing on four core pillars for our students:

🔹 PREVENT cavities and dental disease
🔹 EDUCATE students and families
🔹 TREAT with on-site, comprehensive care
🔹 EMPOWER healthier students and stronger communities.

🌟 Congratulations to our Brownfields Elementary Student of the Year, Josiah Williams! 🌟

Josiah was selected based on the following criteria:

⭐ Current 5th-grade student
⭐ Attended Brownfields Elementary for at least two full academic school years (3rd grade, 4th grade)
⭐ Earned Mastery or Advanced on all applicable LEAP assessments
⭐ Maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.1 or higher
⭐ Demonstrated meritorious attendance
⭐ Maintained a respectable discipline record
⭐ Demonstrated good character, citizenship, and leadership within our school community
⭐ Positively represents the values and expectations of Brownfields Elementary School

We are incredibly proud of Josiah and all that he has accomplished. We know he will represent Brownfields Elementary with excellence!
