Do you want a more effective speedup? Then focus on WHERE you hit it.
Want a More Effective Speedup? Focus on WHERE to hit it.
A better speedup starts with placement—not power.
You don’t have to hit harder to make your speedup harder to defend. 🎯
Watch how an off-pace attack to the right shoulder creates trouble—and why targeting the opponent directly in front of you gives them less time to react.

Here’s a replay from last week of our skinny singles dreambreaker versus the Texas Stars.
SHOT COMBINATIONS SERIES: Inside Foot, Then Find the Angle 🎯
Good players look for opportunities to hit their favorite shots. Smart players CREATE those opportunities using shot combinations.
Here's one example: Watch how I place a dink at the inside—or left—foot of the right-side player. For a right-hander, that’s one of the most difficult dinks on the court because it forces the player to hit an awkward backhand.
Then I anticipate a high response back to me and look to hit an angled shot. Because that same player just hit the previous ball, it’s difficult for them to recover and cover the sideline.
Don’t think only about the shot you’re hitting. Think about the shot you’re setting up next.
And that’s how we TURN KNOWLEDGE INTO WINS 🧠🏆

So proud of this team not just for the way they played but also for the way they supported and encouraged each other. How’s this for support: within minutes of clinching the dreambreaker against the Texas Stars, my teammates frantically helped me gather my stuff and then Katherine jumped in her car to drive me to the airport. I was one of the last ones to board but I made it! Thank you to this group for being the amazing people and teammates that you are! Love you guys!!!!
More to come soon, but YOUR Supernovas Pickleball team placed 1st place this first season weekend (shared with one other team) who also went 4-0! So proud of this all-around team win. Great people, great players, in that order. Missing from photo: Katherine Gillis Cindy Kuragami Pickleball Yogi
