Declaring Truth Ministries

(Eph. 4:12). On the street and in local churches, he makes it his aim to edify, educate, and equip disciples of Jesus to declare "the word of truth the gospel of your salvation" (Eph. 1:13). The Gospel of Jesus Christ "is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes" (Rom. 1:16) "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) There is only one way for a sinner to escape the just wrath of God Almighty and that is by hearing and heeding, repenting and believing the divine statement of truth in God the Son Incarnate, the Word become flesh. All of eternity hangs in the balance. In this "word of truth" regarding Jesus of Nazareth there is eternal life, and so "repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations" (Luke 24:47). Everyday, God is calling believers to evangelize more faithfully, not counting their lives dear to themselves, but sacrificing for Christ so that He would be adored amongst all nations. (Acts 20:24) Declaring Truth Ministries quickly became more than just The White Family's personal journey into evangelistic faithfulness. Our ministry is contacted regularly by Christians who want to obey the demand of Jesus to intentionally communicate the Gospel to unbelievers, but they don't know how to start, where to begin, and how to evangelize as a lifestyle so they don't fizzle out. Sadly, in their local churches, they find little encouragement and training for this work. It seems the modern Church has abandoned declaring truth on God's terms. Many of God's people desire edification, education, and equipping to evangelize faithfully to the glory of God. There are so many believers, especially in the United States, who are zealous to tell the world about Christ and are now being lead by the Holy Spirit to put feet to their faith. For those who are not yet stirred up to go and make disciples, we pray the Church is inspired and challenged by our joyful service to our King. (Joy truly is infectious!)

With the sustaining support of a generous team of ministry partners, DTM consistently organizes outreaches throughout Louisiana, teaches Biblical evangelism methods, and provides critical evangelistic resources for the Bride of Christ. Through the DTM outreach application process, brothers and sisters with sound doctrine come together regularly to reach unbelievers where they are with a clear and accurate presentation of the Gospel. DTM's biggest outreach of the year is Declaring Truth @ Mardi Gras (DTMG), a 3-day mission trip to evangelize Mardi Gras revelers in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Gospel laborers have come from all over the country to participate and have said the experience has been life-changing. We're so thankful that our merciful God has seen fit to use this little ministry in such a BIG way! Whether it's open-air preaching at an LSU football game, sending out Bibles through the Free Book Resource, or designing a new Gospel tract, Declaring Truth Ministries and The White Family desire above all to be faithful to God and His mission to reconcile the world to Himself in Christ (2 Cor. 5:19). We lead from the front by regularly hitting the streets with the Gospel, always inviting believers to participate in our intentional Great Commission outreaches to win souls for Christ. A typical evangelistic outing organized by DTM involves group prayer and singing, open-air Gospel proclamation by elder-affirmed men (using amplification when necessary), Gospel tract distribution, personal witnessing and apologetics with "with those who happened to be there", and ministering to needy souls on the street directing them to local discipleship opportunities with local churches. All this work is for the advancement of God's Kingdom, spreading His word of truth amongst all peoples, but intentional evangelistic work is also extremely sanctifying for believers. So many Christians over the years have shared with us how God is using DTM to edify, educate, and equip them to evangelize faithfully. Whether through their participation on our street outreaches or by receiving our newsletters, believers are growing in boldness, faith, and joy in Christ. With an "everywhere evangelism" approach, our areas of ministry often focus on spiritually strategic locations where large numbers of souls are gathered, or where there is significant evil or brokenness. We preach Christ crucified (1 Cor. 2:2) at major sporting events, universities, street festivals, busy street intersections, abortion mills, and wherever else the Spirit leads. Utilizing our experience regularly preaching in the world famous French Quarter of New Orleans, DTM hosts Declaring Truth @ Mardi Gras, an annual evangelistic outreach to reach revelers for Christ. Declaring Truth Ministries equips Christians to intentionally communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ with unbelievers anywhere. We edify, educate, and equip disciples of Jesus to declare "the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation" (Ephesians 1:13).
