There are some businesses that simply offer a service and then there are places that build an entire world. Beardsgaard Barbers is proudly the latter.

Owned by Natalie and Tyler Anderson, Beardsgaard’s story begins with a leap of faith, a shared love of the service industry, and a belief that even in the suburbs, there’s always room for something a little different. After years of working side by side (and Tyler eventually joining Natalie in the barbering world), the duo opened their own shop in 2014 with a goal to create something that felt true to who they were.

From the beginning, Beardsgaard set out to be more than a barbershop. It’s a beard-focused, unapologetically q***r and nerdy space where individuality is celebrated and community comes first. And while some wondered if that vision might be “too specific,” Natalie and Tyler knew better because the community they built showed up, and kept showing up.

Over the years, Beardsgaard has grown alongside the people who walk through its doors. What started as a two-person operation has evolved into a vibrant, ever-expanding collective of barbers, creatives, and loyal clients who have shaped the shop into what it is today.

Beardsgaard Barbers is a reminder that small businesses don’t have to fit a mold to thrive, in fact, sometimes the more unique, the better.

Beardsgaard has been a proud stockist of Captain Fawcett for over a decade, and currently carry quite a few items in the Expedition Reserve and scarab emblem-bearing lines. But which of these that we don't yet stock do you furry ones require in your bathrooms?

Over 12 years, it's been such a joy to watch the evolution of barbers from their nervous first days on the floor here to settling into their confidence, to building a crew of dedicated regulars, and sometimes moving or moving on to follow the next chapter of their dreams. We did that very same thing, that's why Beardsgaard exists at all. Some of the former barbers of Beardsgaard have moved far away, but some are near enough they still come back to their favorite barbers here for the good cuts and some nerd banter, and clients flow back and forth just as much (we always say, it's only cheating if you get a BAD haircut somewhere else).

Beardsgaard is currently hiring for our final available chair.
