It’s Homecoming week in Batavia! The windows throughout the town are so colorful. It’s great to see all the young people displaying their artistic talents.

Thank you to the Sophomore Student Council for adding some great color to my windows. It makes a heart feel good to drive through our little town.

Our annual Chop Around the Clock supporting RMHC Chicago and Northwest Indiana was a huge success, but the fun is not over yet! Our raffle runs until July 1, so there is still time to enter for some great prizes, and chip in for a wonderful cause.

The Chop Around the Clock our annual fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is right around the corner! We can’t wait to see you. The fun begins Friday at 4pm and ends Saturday at 4pm.

CHOP AROUND THE CLOCK
This year marks the 34th year Foltos’ Tonsorial Parlor at 7 E. Wilson Street in Batavia, Illinois has produced Chop Around the Clock. Beginning on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 4:00 p.m., all the way through to Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 4:00 p.m., we will cut hair and donate all the proceeds to the Ronald McDonald’s Children’s Charities.

This 24-hour fun-filled event will include music, dancing, a bake sale, raffles, open mic, poetry, hot dogs…the fun never stops! We have raised over $360,000 over the past 33 years!! We need bakers, dancers, entertainers, people to get haircuts, anything you can think of.

Haircutting, stories, hot dogs, bake sale and music throughout the 24 hours.

Friday, June 6
4:00 to 5:00 pm Let the games begin – haircuts and food

5:00 to 6:00 pm BBQ, BBQ, BBQ, hot dogs and more

6:00 pm Ice cream eating contest. The music begins as well as the Brisket cookout. Don’t miss the great Pulled Pork BBQ and Brisket, hot dogs and anything else extravaganza at the Chop.

7:00 pm Kids’ games

8:00 to 11:00 pm World’s longest conga line, dancing, musicians, kids’ games and more

11:00 pm Friday to 8:00 a.m. Saturday Music continues, stories shared, and ever-exciting late night haircuts

Saturday, June 7
8:00 am Bring breakfast

8:30 to 10:00 am Musical entertainment and kids’ games

10:00 am to 4:00 pm Face painting, more music, more food and GREAT haircuts, of course!

Chop Thank You

Foltos and the Ronald McDonald House thank you. Because of your kind hearts and generosity, this year’s Chop Around the Clock on June 2 to 3, 2023, raised over $12,000. These donations will help house and feed a whole bunch of families staying at one of the houses. Whether you got a haircut, played or listened to music, fixed or ate food, bought a raffle ticket or just shared a laugh with us, we appreciate you. We can’t do this without you!

Your continued support makes Foltos Tonsorial Parlor a fun place to be and a place I am very proud to be part of. We have raised almost $400,000.00 over the past 32 years with this annual event. You guys are so awesome! When my parents opened this business 70 years ago, they were so proud to be in business. I am glad to be here too.

Animal lovers, we need your help. Each year we at Foltos decorate a tree displayed on Batavia’s beautiful Riverwalk. Last years theme was a peace tree. This year our theme is a pet tree.
We are decorating the tree with hundreds of dog bones. With a $10 donation you can put your pets name, past or present, on a dog bone and decorate the bone! All proceeds are donated to a local animal shelter and an animal research center. Stop in today, buy a bone, and be happy!
