Save the date! Sunday, September 27 for Batavia Fire Departments 2026 Open House, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., West Side Station 2, 1400 W. Main Street. Parking is available across the street at the Batavia High School south parking lot.

We'll have an extrication demo, smoke trailer to simulate emergencies, food, a visit from Superior Helicopter and more!

🚒 In honor of International Firefighters Day May 4, we’re sharing a few fun facts about the Batavia Fire Department:

Did you know…
• Firefighters are expected to be en route to an incident within two minutes of dispatch.
• The department has specialized teams for water rescue, technical rescue, and fire investigation.
• Batavia Fire Department's longes serving firefighter, Ron Konen, retired this year after serving 49 years!
• Firefighters spend at least a third of the year at the station, so it truly becomes a second home. They even chip in for meals and eat together like family.
