Happy Back to School Season! Here are some very helpful tips as new routines are created. Keep on Reading! If I may add, reading books about back to school can open a dialogue as well between child and parents/caregivers.

Education is for all children. I am proud to support every child who walks through my door. Every ability, every race, every gender, every language. ❤️Everyone.
Lovely note from a new client this morning❤️ I love my job!
“I wanted to reach out to you and thank you 🙏
I don’t know how you are doing it but my husband and we wanted to thank you! We see the progress he is doing at home trying to read it himself instead of asking us to read it to him.
Thank you so much Laura! “

I went back to Uni for the afternoon on Friday. Thanks to Stanley at ACFE and all you’re doing to support women and girls in rural Southern Africa, and the presentation on how to equitably support girls in tech education. https://www.acfegroup.org/ceo

“Why do they make this so hard for kids?” I got this question from a 7 year old student yesterday. The truth is- it is hard!!!! Reading is diffficult! It’s not a natural task for our brains. My job is to give them the tools to be successful and build confidence. Send me a message to learn more. 📖 🚀
Parents: As a former classroom teacher, may I suggest you get some routines going. First days are right around the corner! It will make your kid’s transition back to school a lot easier.
