The registration fee is $250 per student, with a discounted rate of $200 per student for families enrolling more than one student. This fee covers the cost of books and materials for the year. The Bastrop Police Department is proud to announce that recruitment for our 2026 Junior Police Academy is officially open. This program offers young members of our community a unique, hands-on look at law enforcement, emphasizing leadership, discipline, and community service.

Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please review the following recruitment details:

Academy Details
Dates: July 6 – July 9, 2026

Times: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Eligibility: Open to youth ages 8 to 13.

To ensure as many children as possible have the opportunity to experience the academy, new applicants will be given precedence over those who have previously attended. Space is extremely limited, and space fills up fast.

Deadline: All applications must be submitted by May 29, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
