Some more speedo trivia for yall on a Monday! What years did they place a sticker on the face of the 70s speedos for Harley?

I had a lot of people message me about a 1962 specific tombstone Speedo I posted last week. Here’s a small detail that most won’t notice, even the Palmers thumpers. The top numbers set is 1962 specific and the bottom is up til 1980. There are subtle variations in the font. Look closely!

To be clear, this does not mean that every speedometer in 1962 had these numbers. Many have, and even into 1963 too. Mechanically they are also different inside, as Stewart Warner was constantly honing their design for a better performing mechanism. I hope you enjoy this info and use it to help others complete their dream bikes. Not to be used as an elitist talking point for swap meet fodder! Ha!

Beautiful 1962 specific speedo from the Tombstone era (62-67). Anyone know what makes this 62 specific?

A 1939-46 restored dash base and 1941 speedo going out this week. Gotta love the way they look when they’re fresh!
