FCC CAPE
The Family Crisis Center CAPE team is dedicated to reducing violence in the community through prevention education and awareness activities.
The Family Crisis Center started in 1981 from a coalition of rural Texas women with a shared vision of offering hope, support, and assistance to women victimized by domestic violence. Since becoming an incorporated nonprofit in 1983, the Center has evolved into a community leader in Central Texas.

Hosted by the wonderful Lindsay Daile Varn, our Future Leaders experiences a wonderful mid morning workout, the opportunity to create their own trail mix, and breaking down the stigmas in food culture by "good" and "bad". Alongside this, Lindsey also highlighted the importance of food in ones general enjoyment, happiness, and culture!

With summer starting up, it can be very difficult to acclimate to these changes. Your routine, your day to day, your commute, all of these things have changed with the summer sliding through the windows and settling in. It's important to remind yourself, leisure is not laziness, finding a new routine is possible, and simply existing is more than enough.
Try something new, rediscover something old, eat a good meal, enjoy good company, and take in the world around you. Summer is fun, and you can make the best of it!
Yesterday, at our second Girls Leadership Lab of the summer, participants explored goal setting with our very own Ashlyn Wetsel (Prevention Team Manager @ Family Crisis Center). The girls learned about S.M.A.R.T. goals, created vision boards, and shared their aspirations for the future. It was inspiring to see each of them dream big and begin turning those dreams into intentional goals. ✨🩷✨🩷
