Morristown has tremendous national significance, but it lacks a signature monument comparable to the 60-plus-foot National Memorial Arch at Valley Forge. Most of Morristown's commemorative elements are relatively modest—a Washington statue, historic markers, reconstructed huts, and preserved sites rather than a major national monument.
