Even the most zen-like interior can feel disrupted if the artwork doesn’t evoke the same mood. This piece of artwork is a personal favorite of mine. It’s an acrylic on canvas set in a floating oak frame, and it brings a sense of serenity and calm to this New York apartment. It’s a perfect example of how transformative art can be in a space.

As we look toward 2026 and step into a season of rest and time with family, I’ve been reflecting on what an incredible year it’s been. It’s so easy to get swept up in the constant hustle of our to-do lists that we forget to pause and appreciate everything we’ve accomplished. 2025 has been instrumental in HCO Interiors’ growth, and I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done as a team. Cheers to all the designers out there—I can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store for us.

Swipe to see the before. ✨
Proof that even the smallest nook can become a defining moment. This Mansion in May fireplace went from overlooked to intentional—with layered texture, warmth, and presence.
Which version would you want to curl up beside? 🔥

In New York apartments, every square inch becomes valuable real estate for design. Here, we gave this hallway its own moment. Even though its primary purpose is simply to connect the surrounding rooms, we added a beautiful geometric ceiling detail and continued the theme of shapes with an eye-catching piece of artwork.

With hosting season upon us, many people focus on sprucing up guest bedrooms and bathrooms—but the entryway is often overlooked, despite being one of the most highly trafficked areas of the home. A few easy upgrades can make a big impact: rearrange your artwork so a more striking piece greets you the moment you walk in, and add a table lamp. Even if the entryway isn’t the space that needs the most functional lighting, welcoming guests with something softer than overhead lights always creates a warmer, more inviting arrival.

Design is never a solo act, every beautiful space we create is the result of countless hands, shared expertise, and years of trusted relationships. As we head into the holiday season, we’re especially grateful for the artisans, workrooms, vendors, makers, and trades who have partnered with us over the last 10 years.
From custom upholstery to millwork, drapery, stone, lighting, and the tiny finishing details that make a home feel complete — we’re surrounded by people who care deeply about their craft, and it shows in every space we share with our clients.
Here’s to collaboration, creativity, and the joy of working with people we admire. We couldn’t do what we do without you. 🤍

From cozy weeknight dinners to holidays that stretch late into the night — a well-designed dining room sets the tone for how we gather. These recent projects show how we layer comfort, elegance, and personality to create spaces that feel special every day.
If your dining room could use a refresh (or a complete reimagining), we’re currently booking new full-service projects for the new year and would love to connect.

Give me a bedroom that feels like a mini vacation… but with room service from your own kitchen. ✨ As we approach the weekend before Thanksgiving, I’m soaking in every bit of calm before the chaos—soft textures, layered lighting, and a corner to escape to.

People often forget that being a designer isn’t just about procurement, it’s also about final ex*****on and styling, which are arguably the most important—and the most challenging—parts of the job. Styling is largely trial and error, so don’t get discouraged if your first arrangement isn’t the one you ultimately land on.

How stunning is this chandelier in one of our current projects? The double-height ceiling created the perfect opportunity for an exaggerated silhouette, so we selected this sculptural statement piece from
