When we walked into this home we saw exactly what it could be. The sellers were not so sure.
This was a home that had been lived in and loved for decades. S**g carpet throughout, heavy curtains blocking every window, a backyard patio that had not seen a power washer in years. On paper the comparable sales put this home in the mid to high $400s.
We had a different number in mind.
When we shared our plan the family was skeptical. Not because they did not trust us, but because they had never heard of an agent willing to do what we were describing. Pull up the carpet ourselves. Rearrange and replace furniture. Bring in staging pieces. Power wash the entire patio and walkways. Swap out dated light fixtures.
No cost to them. All of it included within our commission.
That is our job. Not to hand sellers a list of things to fix and wish them luck. But to show up, shoulder the work, and make their home the most compelling option in its price range. We met a man who had recently lost his wife.
He was ready to move on, relocating to Florida to be closer to friends and start a new chapter. But first he needed to sell the home they had built their life in together. A home filled with decades of memories, belongings, and the kind of weight that only comes with that kind of loss.
Our job was to help him move forward. And to make sure he walked away with every dollar he deserved.
