The last couple of years the town of Basalt has failed to field D1 and D2 youth football teams. I have spoken with the former town rep, Mitch and he said that there was not enough interest to field the teams.

What I would like to ask is, are there any kids out there that want to play football in the youth league?

Basalt football will host the first round of the CHSAA Postseason on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 2 PM when they welcome the Woodland Park Panthers to town. Tickets for the game can be purchased using the link in our bio.No cash or passes will be accepted

All right, I think we have gotten the final word. The 2A division Athletics Departments have agreed, we will have a Spring High School Footbal season. Full schedule, playoffs and State Championships.

Longhorns will continue to prep for the upcoming season.
