View from the top of Aspen Mountain today...

A train ride from Florence back through Pisa to Cinque Terre. Along the way were some quite impressive mountains. As we got closer I could see huge white chunks like quarries. Then we stopped in a station called Carrara... could this be where Carrara marble comes from? Wikipedia says yes! Even the train station was decorated with lovely marble slabs!

July 5... is the snow still on the hiking path on Highlands Bowl because it is stamped down by so many feet hiking up over the season? Also a cool sunset as seen from the airport...
