Our team at Project Hope House strives to create a safe and nurturing environment for everyone who walks through our doors. We are here to serve as a crutch for anyone feeling depressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or simply need someone to talk to for support.

Support is something we don’t talk about enough.

As we recognize Mental Health Awareness month, we want to share why getting support is so crucial.

Su***de remains the second leading cause of death among youth ages 10-14 in the U.S. and the third leading cause among young people ages 15-24.

A recent study published by JAMA highlighted an 11% decline in youth su***de deaths since the launch of the 988 Crisis Lifeline💚. The findings suggest that prevention efforts, open conversations, and access to support can not only make a difference but can also save lives.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available.📱Call or text #988, available 24/7. Learn more about 988 here: https://www.namichicago.org/988

"Every time someone steps up and says who they are, the world becomes a better, more interesting place." - Raymond Holt, Brooklyn Nine-Nine (NBC/FOX)

As we enter the month of June, our team at Project H.O.P.E. House strives to recognize the importance of and its residual effect towards creating a more compassionate and inclusive world. 36% of young people in the LGBTQ+ community reported seriously considered attempting su***de in the past year. Our mission at Project H.O.P.E. House is to be an ally to all individuals as well as their families. No one should go through life feeling as though they’re less than based on their preferred pronouns, gender identity, sexual orientation or how they live their lives.

If you or a loved one is in need of counseling, our office is located at 231 W. Main Street in Barrington, Illinois. Counselors are available to discuss any topic in a safe and compassionate environment. ***deprevention
