Visited the Potosi Brewing Co. & National Brewery Museum the other day and found these scattered around the facility. Definitely worth a trip and the Potosi beer is fantastic (as well as the food!)

I have the original documentation from the State Historical Society from when my Grandpa Fred Effinger turned over 7 boxes of records from the Brewery to the them in 1978 so I knew there were recordings, but I just happened to pop in today and found they have been digitized and made available online. Enjoy!

The Brewery might have closed in ‘66 but that doesn’t mean we quit making beer!

Here's something to raise a glass to tonight! March 22nd, 1933 President Roosevelt signed the Cullen-Harrison bill, modifying the Volstead Act to permit the sale of 3.2% beer and wine. 15 days later actual beer was flowing in Stevens Point for the first time in 13 years, signaling the end of Prohibition! Breweries around the state, including Point Brewery, celebrated by blasting their steam whistles. The entire Volstead Act would be repealed in December of 1933.
