In honor of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day coming up on June 15th, our Community Education Program Manager Jess put together this video sharing information on preventing elder abuse from the National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life (https://www.ncall.us) and the National Center on Elder Abuse (https://ncea.usc.edu/weaad). June is Pride Month; a time to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and recognize the work that has been done and the work that remains in the fight for equality.
🏳️‍🌈 It’s a time to remember that same-sex marriage only became legal in all 50 states in 2015.
🏳️‍🌈 It’s a time to remember that not only have people not been free to love who they choose, but that many have been murdered for that simple act.
🏳️‍🌈 For those who do not identify as being a member of the LGBTQIA community, it’s also a time to work on being a strong Ally. You can learn more by visiting the Human Rights Campaign website.
