We are a community center starting in Bar Harbor, ME. Our Vision
Today, people are disconnected: from the environment, from one another, from themselves.
We are working in partnership with a number of organizations on the island and downeast Maine to be a resource center for the community, offering support and space for community activities. These disconnections allow us to exploit our planet and each other. We live in fear of our strength. All people have the power to effect change, but our society has disengaged us. Come by Chris Brown's Community Soup (corner of Ledgelawn and Mt. Desert) every Thursday at 7pm to talk about the Common Root and other projects in the community!
Potluck this Wednesday at 6pm in the Davis Center on the COA campus, come talk about how the common root went this summer and your ideas for the Fall!
Food encouraged but not required.
