Our kitchens are so much more than a place to cook meals. They are the heartbeat of a home... the place where homework and debates and laughter happen. The place where our families and friends gather and memories are made. A place this important deserves full attention- and that's what you'll receive with us. Let our team help you take your project from paper to life... with all the attention you deserve.

What Pinterest doesn't show you: the revisions, the material samples, the measurements, the site visits, and the hundreds of decisions that happen long before the final photos.

It's still hard to believe this space will soon be a finished kitchen, but we're getting close. Seeing months of planning start to come to life is always one of the most rewarding parts of the process. 🔨

A big thank you to GC Renovations Inc. for being such a great partner on this project. We can't wait to show you the finished space!

If you’ve been saving kitchen inspiration lately, you’ve probably noticed a pattern… warmer tones, more texture, less perfectly uniform finishes.

From fluted tile to zellige-inspired surfaces and full-height backsplashes, today’s kitchens are embracing materials that feel natural, layered, and lived in. These are a few of the backsplash trends we’re seeing everywhere right now.

đź’ Which one would you choose for your own kitchen?

The creative mind behind so many of our projects.

Katie brings more than a decade of experience in residential design and construction technology management to the Anchor Design Co. team. After earning her degree in Architecture from the University of Maine at Augusta, she’s continued building a strong appreciation for thoughtful, functional design, especially here in her home state of Maine.

She loves working closely with clients to create spaces that feel beautiful, practical, and personal to the way they live. Her creativity, attention to detail, and collaborative approach play a huge role in bringing projects to life from start to finish.

Outside of design, Katie enjoys gardening, journaling, drawing, and spending time with her husband, their two daughters, their dog Stella, and close friends and family.

Can we talk about butler’s pantries for a minute?

Because once you have one, it’s hard to imagine life without it.

A good butler’s pantry does a lot more than hold groceries. It’s extra prep space when you’re cooking, a home for the coffee maker and toaster, a spot for serving pieces and entertaining essentials, and honestly... a great place to hide the mess when guests are on their way over.

The best ones are designed to work just as hard as the kitchen itself. Plenty of counter space, thoughtful storage, good lighting, and room for the appliances you use every day all make a difference.

Safe to say, we’d happily claim a pantry like this as our own. 🤍

Material Palette | Soft Pastels🪻

Light, airy, and perfect for summer! These soft pastel tones bring color into a space without overwhelming it, creating a look that feels fresh and inviting as well as timeless.

These pastel tile selections are also some of the newest additions to our showroom, and we’re loving the subtle color and texture they bring to a design.

Building a custom home comes with sooo many decisions.
These are a few areas we’d personally invest in from the start. ✨

One of the biggest misconceptions in kitchen design is that everything needs to perfectly match.

In reality, contrast is usually what gives a space depth and keeps it from feeling flat. Mixing metals, wood tones, textures, and finishes in a balanced way is often what makes a kitchen feel more natural and visually interesting in the long run.

It’s less about matching every detail and more about making sure everything works together as a whole.

A laundry room can handle a lot more than just a washer and dryer when it’s planned well.

Counter space for folding, storage that keeps things tucked away, room for baskets, a built-in drying rack, even lighting that makes the space easier to use day to day. The little details end up making the biggest difference in how functional the room actually feels once you’re living in it.

This one came together with a mix of warm finishes, practical storage, and workspace that feels easy to use without overcomplicating the room.
