Hazelnut Dacquoise, a French flourless cake assembled with two layers of light meringue dough, filled and covered with a voluptuously textured midnight ganache–life is good.

As Valentine's Day approaches old recipes resurface, wanting to be made. Pictured here are "Mon Amour," delicious cookies filled with strawberry rhubarb jam, covered with a rose petal/orange glaze. The dough needs to be mixed by hand to get lightness and air into the cookie. Also pictured are flourless French chocolate tarts (gf), which are fluffy, slightly moist and melting on the tongue–what is there not to love?

German sourdough breads (Helles Bauernbrot and Wacholderlaib) are ready to be cut in slices. Come visit us at Bangor's European Market, tomorrow 25th, from 8:30-12:30.

"Oaxacan Macarons," a marriage between two culinary cultures: Mexican chocolate combined with sugar and ground almonds are styled, 'á la macronage' into lava-like consistency; after baking, the shells are paired up and get filled with a rich chocolate ganache–France meets Mexico!

Almond Citrus Tarts in the making. Homemade almond paste infused with the scent of orange and lemon zest and finished with a lovely citrus glaze.
